Oxenford Dental Centre is a family-orientated practice that has been looking after the dental needs of northern Gold Coast residents since 1996. When you visit us, your comfort and smile are our top priority. Our experienced dental team, including four dentists, a hygienist and four support staff, is dedicated to providing you with the personalised, dental care that you deserve. We provide a full range of services, including cosmetic dentistry, implants, whitening, children’s examinations, cleans and mouthguards, as well as orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign and braces.

Dr Brenden Rutherford graduated from the University of Queensland Dental School in 1993. After spending 2 years working in private practice in Yeppoon, Brenden and his wife Natasha opened their own practice in Oxenford.
At Oxenford Dental Centre, Brenden has gained a reputation for providing exceptional quality dental care and many of his patients who now live in other parts of Australia, continue to travel to see him on the Gold Coast. Brenden is a member of the Australian Dental Association and has undertaken many hours of continuing education to advance his skills.
His special interests in dentistry include implant restorations and wisdom tooth extractions. Away from work, Brenden is enthusiastic about travel and fitness, and loves spending time with his 4 children.
Dr Natasha Rutherford graduated from the University of Queensland with first class honours in 1993 and then worked in Rockhampton for 2 years. In 1996, Natasha and Brenden established Oxenford Dental Centre, which has a reputation for quality affordable dentistry.
Over the 18 years that Brenden and Natasha have practiced in Oxenford they have built up a very loyal following of patients, and many of the children they saw in their early years are now bringing in their own children for treatment.
Natasha is a member of the Australian Dental Association and is experienced in treating all manner of dental requirements, from general family dentistry to complex cosmetic reconstructions. In her spare time, Natasha enjoys going to the gym and running around after her children, Jesse, Kobi, Elle and Oscar.
Dr Joseph Chong graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma in Dentistry. Whilst still at university, Joseph was determined to improve his knowledge and gain experience by observing and working with other dental practitioners in day-to-day practice. By the end of his degree, Joseph had worked in six different clinics, including Orthodontic and Periodontic specialist practices.
Joseph is passionate about providing a high-quality, friendly and professional dental service for all patients. He has a keen interest in Orthodontics and Oral Surgery which he supplements by attending various conferences and professional development courses as well as having worked closely with Orthodontist, Dr Nino Gullotta of Gullotta Orthodontics.
Outside of work, Joseph can be found spending time with his young family and learning the ropes of parenthood.
Sami graduated from the University of Manchester in the U.K. in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Oral Health Science. Sami worked in Manchester in the U.K. for many years until she emigrated to the Gold Coast in November 2017. She is passionate and motivated in her profession and has vast experience in complex periodontal cases (including post-implant treatment). Sami enjoys working with patients to achieve their optimum oral health whilst helping nervous patients overcome any fears they may have.
In her spare time, Sami is kept busy with her three children Luke, Sophia and Arabella. She enjoys keeping fit and loves spending any spare time at her favourite place – the beach.
