About
Braces
Dental braces are an effective solution for correcting misaligned teeth and achieving a healthy, beautiful smile. Braces are an orthodontic treatment option suitable for children, teens, and adults. They work by applying gentle, continuous pressure to gradually move teeth into their correct positions. At Oxenford Dental Centre we provide a smooth and comfortable orthodontic journey with a focus on achieving lasting results. Whether you're dealing with crowded teeth, gaps, or bite issues, braces can transform and enhance your smile, improve oral health and boost overall confidence.

FAQ
Most people get braces between the ages of 10 and 14 when their mouths and jaws are still growing, and all their baby teeth have exfoliated (though there can be exceptions). However, adults can also benefit significantly from orthodontic treatment. Orthodontic advancements have made braces more comfortable and less noticeable, making them a viable option for both teenagers and adults seeking an improved smile.
The duration of treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case. On average, people wear braces for 18 months to 3 years. Your dentist will provide an estimated timeline based on your specific needs.
Regular appointments are typically scheduled every 8 weeks to adjust the braces and monitor your progress. Your dentist will set a schedule that suits your treatment plan.
